I have my 'moments' of spontaneity. I've become a lot more spontaneous since I've had a child. This weekend I asked her if she wanted to go to Disneyland...and it was 6:00 pm. Tonight, again at 6:00 pm (weird!), I asked her if she wanted to go to the beach to get some pictures of the sunset. Of course, she asked, "Can I play?". :) So we got going and got to the beach within 15-20 minutes. My heart was happy. It was a beautiful night, I had country music playing on the radio, I was hoping I was creating a great memory and I honestly thought, "Live life! Who knows how long we have?".
We got to the beach and she played and ran and found seashells and danced and got all sorts of dirty/messy. She had a BLAST! And I had a blast!! It was such a fantastic time! I don't know if she's going to remember these things yet, but luckily I've been blogging all along. I uploaded an Instagram to Facebook while we were still at the beach and I used the hashtag #embracelife. I looked up quotes on spontaneity when I got home and thought this one below was PERFECT!! Here's tonight's entry and a big cheers to spontaneity.
Creativity is not merely the innocent spontaneity of our youth and childhood; it must also be married to the passion of the adult human being, which is a passion to live beyond one's death.

Such a lucky little girl to have you as a mom. I hope she remembers these special times.
She is going to have so much to see as she gets older thanks to your blog and the notes you wrote her during your pregnancy and her first few months.
I have to say doing things like this is great and perfect for the soul. Love the shots and keep doing your thing.
