Today Al and I photographed Cynthia and Terry's wedding! I have so many images to download but thought I'd start with a few of three of the girls getting ready. One of these girls used to be a co-worker of mine so I already knew that she was a great, fun person. The two other girls made us feel so at ease and at home from the moment we met them. We had a great time getting to know a little about them.
I'll be posting more images from the wedding throughout the weekend and week. But for now, here are three sweet girls. Beautiful on the inside and out.

Sea World... sort of
Al and I went to Sea World on Saturday and I don't have many photos to show because I just was not in the mood to take any. I just wanted to relax and enjoy. I do love this little memory of this little guy, though.
For those of you that don't know, Sea World has an Anheuser-Busch section where it has a Beer Tasting school and a stable with some Clydesdales (and the little donkey who thinks he is a Clydesdale!). They also have one of the Budweiser mascot dogs and he just walked around in between the people who were looking at the horses. He was soooo cute. He came up to me and wagged his tail and then started sniffing my boots. I wore some Ugg-like furry boots and I think he thought some animal was on my feet. LOL He let me pet him and he was so soft. I wanted to take him home. :) It was so neat to watch him watch his human brushing the horses and following behind the horses when they were led to show. I felt like I was in an actual Budweiser commercial!
Al and I spent a good half hour or so on Monday reliving the day and watching some of the Budweiser commercials. They have such a great advertising/marketing team. Here are three of my absolute favorites:

And that's all she edited...
Few more from Rox's set. DONE!

This reminds me of one of those old fast clickity-sounding movies you watch in those penny machines at Disneyland.

Is this Part Three?
I'm just about done editing Roxy and Jasmine's photos. Here are a few more of the crazy post processing ones for Jazzy.
This one's not so "crazy" post processing wise, but the tilt is a bit crazy...

Can't decide if I like or dislike this but thought I'd throw it in for her.

A day in the life of a Tennessee tourist...
I know I haven't posted lately and I want to thank those that keep coming by! :) I promise I will get my camera out this weekend or get some more edited shots up. I've just been busy with life and some exciting things that I will hopefully be able to share at a later date!
Until I get some of my own photos up this weekend, I decided to share some of hubby's. He was in Tennessee this week for a work trip (and he was in Hawaii last month for another one! Tough life!) and he captured some great shots. I would have loved to have gone with him, but I had to house/doggie sit for my Mom while they are on a cruise to Alaska! I was supposed to go with him to Hawaii and then the carrier we were supposed to fly on went bankrupt! The other airline that his work put him on was way too expensive for a one week trip, so there I was at home while he was on both trips living it up! ;)
Anyway, here are some interesting shots he got. If you'd like to read more about his trip and the story behind these shots, visit him here. :)

Eyes Open Project Complete!
Do you remember this haunting photo that my blog friend Kirsten took?
It was used in an effort to raise money for three different charities. I bought this specific photo from her to help her with her fundraising. She raised $2240.91 for three different charities. I'm so proud to "know" someone like her and I'm so happy I was able to be a part of something so far away. I wish I could have given more, but even the little donations add up if we all give. Thank you, Kirsten for doing what you did. The world is a better place because of hearts like yours. God bless you.

SlobberSpace!
Since I've given up the photo of the day project (for now! LOL), I'm going to introduce my loyal readers to some people who light up my life. People who I haven't even met yet! I'm going to start this one with Anna Kuperberg and her awesome SlobberSpace site!
I wanted to highlight her work and was so thankful that her "about" section said you could post her photos as long as you linked back. I think everyone should know about her site! Whenever I have a stressful or bad day, I can't wait to check Anna's SlobberSpace site because it ALWAYS brings a smile to my face. Even when I'm not having a bad day, I can't wait to see if Anna posted any new photos. They are just incredible! I also love that she has two rescued dogs - you all know how I feel about rescuers!
Anna shoots weddings and portraits too, but I visit her SlobberSpace site mostly. She inspires me to want to take the same kind of photos of our shelter dogs and maybe raise some money for our shelter. She is definitely an inspiration. Check out her work!

And here is one of Anna's rescued dogs, Venus. This is what she says about Venus, "And here is dear Venus, the Great Dane. We just adopted her in February as an 8 year old, which is old for a Dane. She is not so smart and a little senile, but soooo lovable. She is just a big goofy clown and only wants to snuggle."
She adopted her and she's 8!! She said she is not so smart and she's a little senile, but so lovable. I wish there were more people in this world like Anna. We have so many dogs in our shelter waiting for "Anna"'s. I hope some of them live in Orange County. The doggies are waiting...

It's over, people.
I can't take the pressure. I knew when I started that it was going to be something I might eventually put aside, and it lasted til the 60 day mark (with a few cheats and a few non-photo days in there).
Yes, the photo of the day project is officially over. :(
I'm relieved and this is the only time I've been sad when thinking about ending it. Actually writing that it's ending. Weird. Anywho, I'm still going to post photos of our sessions or my daily life or things that seem interesting to me. I'll probably introduce you to a lot more of my photographer blogger friends sites now.
I guess I'm not a conformist. I guess I really don't like to stay inside the lines. I guess I know when it's time to make me happy and when it's time to give up something that doesn't make me happy - at least not as often as it should. And that's good. :)
So let's start this "non-photo of the day" ;) post with a couple of photos of my weekend! Ha!
Al and I went to Stagecoach for the 2nd year and it was a blast. Here is a summary of Stagecoach:
These are some of my favorite kicks. Yes, I said kicks:
Which resulted in 3 awful blisters (and trust me, you didn't want me to post those pics). But the blisters led to buying new shoes at the festival! More skulls! $10, baby! And they were like walking on Heaven! And yes, you can see how dirty they are - nothing but dirt, dust, patchy grass and hay at a country festival!
Yes, we cowboy'd and cowgirl'd it up all weekend:
I'll be posting more photos of Roxy and Jasmine this week, so y'all come back soon, ya hear?! ;)
