Al and I just got back from celebrating Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, my birthday and five other "holi"days in San Francisco, Napa Valley, and Oregon. What a fantastic time! I wish it was December 23rd again so we could do it all over. Just a few images of Oregon below. I'll post more and some photos of San Francisco and Napa, but Al has those on the laptop and he's sick :( and sleeping.
I'm a sucker for a fence shot:
Although I should like this image in the colors nature intended it to be (with a little color pop from Photoshop):
I can't help but love it in the "chocolate syrup" action. So much that I might blow it up and frame it:
Our sometimes scary but mostly beautiful drive to my sister's home:
A little target shooting with my Dad, stepmom, brother-in-law, and my husband. I shot a 22 rifle (I believe that's what it was) among other weapons and the rifle was so much fun. The pistols had a little bit too much power for my taste. :/ I love this shot of my brother-in-law and the pistol:
One of the sweetest, funniest dogs ever - Duke. :) LOVE the snow on the nose in this shot:

Giving
That's what the season is about for some, right? For me, it's a celebration of Christ, but I digress...
Anyway, I gave tonight. A pint of blood. Al gave on Wednesday. I said my little prayer to the person who shall receive it and although it's a priceless gift, it's a gift that won't have 'excitement' wrapped all over it. Needing blood is not a good thing. :( Anyway, God Bless whomever gets it - I hope it helps - and thank you, Lord, for the 'extra' blood that you've given me so that I can help someone in need.
On a Starbucks 'giving' note (Wendster, are you reading this?) - have you read the back of the holiday cups at Starbucks? It talks about passing on good will to someone else, so Al and I decided to take advantage of the season and do just that. There is a young high school boy at our local Subway and he is always so pleasant and polite. Very quiet, but has EXCELLENT customer service skills. As you know, great customer service is hard to find these days - and at a chain sandwich shop, we felt this should not go unnoticed. Al picked up a Blockbuster gift card and we stopped by the store, handed him the card and thanked him. He was surprised and thankful. I think it helped brighten his 4-10pm shift. I hope so, anyway. Anyway, it felt good to surprise and thank someone like that. Is there someone in your life that you can do that with? Just think about it... I'm sure there is someone worthy and I'm sure they would appreciate it.
On yet another note :), a co-worker gave two of these to me and Quacky for Christmas. They are adorable! They are especially perfect since "Webbed Foot Photography" just opened it's doors. I love these little guys:
I'm not sure if I'll be writing more before Christmas as we have a busy, exciting week coming up. I can't say a lot here, but when it is over, you will see lots of fun, beautiful pictures of our Christmas/my birthday/New Year holidays and celebrations! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
And if my Mom is reading this - a public "THANK YOU SO MUCH" for all that you and Don did for us the other night. We are extremely blessed to be loved so much. We love you.
With love to family and friends,
Kymberli

Xtina - Venice Beach - Final
Wow! Finally! I'm finished with Christina's session. I have to thank her for waiting soooo patiently. I also have to thank her for being SUCH A GREAT SPORT! She did anything and everything that Al and I wanted her to do and didn't mind 1) getting sand in her nice shoes, 2) sitting on wet grass (that was her idea, not mine), 3) taking her bike with her in her cute little dress and heels, and 4) didn't mind all the creeps taking point and shoot photos of her! LOL I told her they probably thought she was someone famous and were probably saying "She looks familiar, but I can't remember where I've seen her!" :)- Anyway, thanks Christina - we had a GREAT time with you! Our website should be up VERY soon (we're talking the next day or so) and there will be plenty of images of you on there! :) Supastaaahhh! ;)

Holly and Christina...
A few more while the lovely ladies are patiently waiting... I'll be so happy when finals are over and I can take/work on photos more!
Ms. C...
I don't know why I love these shots so much. They just seem so peaceful to me and whomever is in the photo seems to be happy and connected...
Chloe girl!

For "H"...
Just a fun, 3 layers of grain and fake lens flare image for "H" while she waits. Just finished with another session that I can't post for privacy reasons :(, but tonight I'm working on yours! :)

Family Session - Long Beach - Final
Whew! Finished with these and off to the next set!
I LOVE when people put their dogs in their family photos. Doggies are part of the family, too! :)
Old school...
But I wanted to focus on this part of the photo... I didn't notice this until I was working on it and I loved that they were holding hands. I love those type of moments sometimes not noticed in everyday life, but in photographs:
Everyone on their best behavior:
And relaxed:
This isn't the best shot composition-wise, but I loved the emotions in this image:
Some people (aka my hubby) don't like grain or crazy textures but I LOVE them. I LOVE this image:
Picture PAWfect! ;)

"K" Family - Central Park Huntington Beach - Final!
Images are finished! Last post for the "K" family for awhile... and it's probably good - I think I'm getting CUTENESS OVERLOAD (is there such a thing?)... check out these little ones!
P.S. - Thank you "K" Family! It was great meeting all of you and we hope you enjoy the images!
This could possibly be my new favorite:

"K" Family - Central Park Huntington Beach - Part Two
Soooo many images... it's hard to figure out what to post. Another 'peek' for Mom as I told her I might not have them done til Tuesday. I was hoping by the end of this weekend (and it's still possible), but for now, I need to put the mouse down as things are getting blurry. :)-

I cannot believe how well these two get along. It was beautiful!
I LOVE feet shots!

Added about 20 layers of grain to this just because I loved the texture:

"K" Family - Central Park Huntington Beach
Wow! What a great time shooting the "K" family this morning! They were referred to us by Emily (Emily and Jameel photos - thanks Emily!) and were so nice and the kids were soooo good! Here's a sneak peak for Mom in case she checks. We're off to another shoot so I'll post more later!
Beautiful "K" and "T":

Xtina - Venice Beach - Part Two
A couple more images of Christina. I have so many more to post, but I've been soooo busy. Work, school, animal care center, other sessions... there's always something. But I count my blessings that I have an able body to be as busy as we have been.
Anyway, here are two more from our Venice session... not the best composition on the first shot, but I still like all of the details in it.
